About our magazine
KYLE CHRONICLE is an independent quarterly magazine for the communities of the Kyle of Sutherland. The printed magazine started publication in December 2018, and our new improved website was launched in July 2025, part of a structural change in which we became Kyle Chronicle Community Interest Company.

A magazine for the communities of the Kyle of Sutherland
KYLE CHRONICLE covers Ardgay, Bonar Bridge, Culrain, Rosehall, Invershin, Spinningdale, Migdale, Strath Oykel, Strathcarron and Glen Cassley, and there are four printed editions per year: December, March, June and September.
Thanks to a fantastic team of volunteers, a free copy is delivered to every household in the Kyle of Sutherland area. If you live outside the boundaries, you can still buy hard copies from local outlets, or purchase a subscription to receive a copy of the KYLE CHRONICLE on the post.

If you subscribe today, you'll get full access to the website, access to all previous issues as pdf, as well as email newsletters about new content when it's available. Your subscription makes this site possible, and allows KYLE CHRONICLE to continue to exist and be free for all. Thank you!

Our mission
KYLE CHRONICLE is an independent, unaffiliated news provider. We are funded by our readers, our advertising clients, and we are currently seeking grants from different bodies such as local authorities and community benefit funds to continue delivering our magazine free of charge to all.
Support local independent news providers
KYLE CHRONICLE is a member of the Scottish Beacon, a collaborative network of independent local and hyperlocal newsrooms across Scotland. Together we’re working to strengthen the voice of the community-based media sector and bring to light real stories from Scotland’s communities.

Our publication is also a member of Public Interest News Foundation, the UK’s first charity to support public interest news – ethical and impartial journalism that informs and empowers the public about the things that matter to all of us
